British Psychological Society Specialist in Test use (Formerly Level A and B)

4-Day course

2 Days if you completed Level A

This is the highest and most prestigious qualification in Psychometrics, personality, and aptitude tests recognized by the BPS.  By completing this certification course you become one of a select few that have demonstrated the skills and knowledge to be consulted as an authority in personality assessment.  This course is recognized by most test publishers who will often give you access to some of their instruments without further training.  It also gives considerable extra credibility to potential clients – you stand out from the crowd as a specialist in psychometrics who can be trusted to design appropriate psychometric interventions and apply best practices in the use of tests and questionnaires.

You achieve the Specialist in Test Use qualification from the BPS and EFPA as long as you have the necessary pre-requisites (i.e. the Test User Ability and two Test User Personality certificates) as well as completing the post-course work satisfactorily.

3 Tools in one Certification (Emotional Intelligence, Values and Stress)

1-Day course

This workshop will enable you to use three in-depth questionnaires:

EIQ (Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire): this widens the concept of Emotional Intelligence to cover Personal Intelligence, Relational Intelligence, and Situational Intelligence which provides an overarching framework for understanding, developing, influencing, and supporting people.

VbIM (Values-based Indicator of Motivation): this explores the things that are most vital to us.  The 24 scales provide a map of values and help people categorize which aspects of their lives provide the greatest pleasure and satisfaction.

RSQ (Resilience Scales Questionnaire): this explores a person’s ability to deal with pressure and stress.  The model identifies 5 core aspects of our reaction to pressure and, unlike other questionnaires, it goes beyond simplistic reflections of a person’s typical behavior.  It measures our response to difficult situations at three levels. It measures how we react to pressure – when we feel stretched and when we feel stressed.

NEO PI-R™ certification

2-Day course

2 Days if you completed Level A

This is the best known of the Big Five personality questionnaires.  Seen as a marker in the field, it breaks the Big Five personality factors down into 30 core facets designed to provide a much more detailed image of a person’s personality style.  Unifying a well-researched over-arching structure together with the underlying level of detail is a rich source of description and ideas for understanding people.

Type Mapping Courses (3 Type Tools)

Having used the MBTI in Pakistan for 1 decade now I can say that TYPE MAPPING is a more advanced and modern yet impactful way to promote both Individual and Team development.  We all know how some of what we do is determined by our context, other behavior is driven by our preference.  By recognizing that ‘what I do’ is not always ‘who I am’ creates a much more accurate framework for personal growth and behavioral change – and promotes the idea that many personalities can be behaviorally flexible.  Self-awareness is the key to this process and Type Mapping goes beyond other Type approaches (such as Myers Briggs Type Indicator – MBTI) by offering a powerful and integrated model operationalized through 5 questionnaires.

  • The way we manage the world around us: Judging-Perceiving.

This course also covers the MTRi™  (Managing Team Roles Indicator) as well as ITPQ (Ideal Task Profile Questionaire)

British Psychological Society – Test User Ability

2-Day course

2 Days if you completed Level A

This is the basic qualification into the issues of psychological measurement and introduces you to the concepts of reliability, validity, norm groups as well as the practical issues of administering tests and applying them fairly.  It is a pre-requisite for those who also wish to achieve the BPS and EFPA qualifications known as Test User Personality.

This course is for people who wish to improve their selection and development processes by introducing psychometric tests, understand how to select, apply and interpret tests in a range of instruments, gain practical experience in the administration and feedback of test results.

On successful completion, you will have access to all the PfS ability tests (Verbal, Numerical, Abstract, Memory and Attention, Decision Analysis) which cover a broader range of cognitive capabilities than you will find with other test publishers.

15fq+™ Certification Course

2-Day course

2 Days if you completed Level A

Through more than 20 years of continued research, Ray Cattell established that 16 scales (factors) were necessary to provide a sensible description of the human personality.  The 16PF went through various versions one of which was called the 16PF Industrial and the 15FQ+™ is an updated version.  It measures the same 16 Factors but replaces the original intelligence scale (Factor B) with an Intellectance scale which is more clearly a personality factor – hence the renaming as the 15FQ+™.

Through both research and balanced judgment, the 16 factors can combine to give over 40 different ‘composite’ scales which suggest characteristics like leadership, creativity, or Team Roles.  Such a complex questionnaire can be daunting to interpret but three reports provide easily accessible interpretations –the Development Report (a narrative interpretation to help individuals and their coaches to build understanding and implications); the Interview Prompts Report (to help explore areas of interest including strengths and areas for development); the Administrator’s Report (providing the primary factor profile as well as many other scales).   This is a versatile tool that can be used for individual development, team development, and role compatibility
